Labrador Breeder South Carolina

Welcome! We are so glad you have stopped by DogSmith Purebreds in your search for the perfect Labrador puppy. Helping future Labrador owners in South Carolina is what we love doing most of all.

Labrador Puppies Greenville SC – Labrador Breeder South Carolina

Our kennel is situated in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are positioned to easily serve Greenville and the surrounding areas, including Spartanburg and Anderson.

Labrador Puppies Columbia SC – Labrador Breeder South Carolina

Not in the upstate? Our Labrador puppies are still within easy reach of the Midlands.

Labrador Puppies Charleston SC – Labrador Breeder South Carolina

Labrador puppies and the lovely, historic city of Charleston, SC are a lovely match. Again, not far away from the Upstate and we are happy to be able to serve this region!

Philosophy & Goals

Our breeding philosophy for our premium Labrador Retrievers is simple: produce the healthiest, best-tempered puppies available. We don’t skimp on the health testing required for this wonderful breed. Additionally, our puppies are raised in a warm, family environment where they are socialized with your home in mind.

Health Testing

Every dam we raise and every stud we hire is tested on hips (OFA or PennHIP), elbows (OFA), and eyes (OFA certified). Genetic testing also plays an important role. Our dogs are tested rigorously, primarily using Embark’s comprehensive genetic panels.

How our Labrador Puppies are raised

We take our role as a Labrador breeder South Carolina producing premium puppies very seriously.

Each litter is lovingly whelped in our kitchen where we can keep a constant eye on Mama and babies. The new family stays in this center of our home for approximately the first 4 weeks, where they are exposed to the sounds and activities of family life and where, most importantly, we see them and interact daily.

Early Neurological Stimulation is a must for every litter we raise. This simple process makes a world of difference in a puppy’s confidence later on (we’ve compared!). Developed by the military, ENS is a series of 5 short movements that a puppy experiences every day from day 3 to day 16 after birth.

Common household noises that our pups experience in their first 8 weeks of life include children, vacuums, dish washer, foot traffic, and music. They also experience playtime out of doors (after 4 weeks), car rides, nail trims, and regular handling.

DogSmith Purebreds vs. other Labrador breeders

  1. We offer an industry-leading health guarantee with each one of our puppies.
  2. Socialization begins before puppies are ever born. Our highest aim is to keep our Mamas in as low-stress an environment as possible. Why? A stressed Mama makes stressed babies, and we don’t want that!
  3. Personality is roughly 30% genetic. It goes without saying that we only breed dogs with the best temperaments to ensure the best puppies. But the other 70%? That’s up to us. The high-impact rearing practices we employ guarantee a dog that will fit well with your life.
  4. All of our litters receive early potty training to make the transition to your home as smooth (and clean!) as possible.

Our waitlist process

We recommend you reach out to us directly if you think one of our Labrador Retriever puppies is a good fit for your family. After we have communicated and when you are ready, you can secure your place on the waitlist with a fully refundable deposit.

It would be a pleasure to be your Labrador Breeder South Carolina and guide you through the process of bringing one of our sweet babies home!
